Honest review of the sales and copy bestie custom GPT by Reveal Studios

Introduction to Custom GPTs

New to the AI world? You're in good company. As a marketing consultant who values trust and creativity, I'll be honest—I wasn't thrilled about adopting AI in my business. In fact, it was something I avoided for far too long.

If you've ever used generic ChatGPT, you've probably noticed that a lot of the outputs are not-so-great. Custom GPTs are essentially like if you took regular Chat but trained it in specific areas. For example, you can train a GPT on your unique frameworks and principles. You may train it on a client's offers and brand voice.

Custom GPTs are quickly picking up in the online industry, and the Sales and Copy Bestie by Reveal Studios is a phenomenal example of one every business owner could use to save time and money. This post covers my honest review of the Bestie as a customer including different ways to use it in your business, examples of the Bestie vs. generic Chat GPT outputs, and a discount code ("KARLEY10") for you to grab your own Bestie.

Sales and Copy Bestie Overview

The Sales and Copy Bestie is trained by Kaili Meyer, founder of Reveal Studios, in research-backed sales psychology, consumer behavior, ethical persuasion principles, and FTC compliance. I've followed Kaili for awhile now, and she is the go-to expert in sales psychology and messaging. Therefore, I completely trusted a custom GPT built off her frameworks and IP.

Once you purchase and import the Bestie, you use it the exact same way as regular ChatGPT. Talk to it like a friend, ask questions, and get feedback instantly. From personal experience, I can attest that the Bestie is spot-on in recognizing my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to selling. I also value that it approaches selling in an ethical manner—something we desperately need more of in the online space.

5 Ways to Use the Sales and Copy Bestie in Your Business

There are truly endless ways to use the Sales and Copy Bestie in your business. Here are just a few that I've been loving lately, but truth be told, this list grows every week.

1. Creating Effective Content—Social Media Captions, Emails, Blog Posts, etc.

Creating content takes so much time, from brainstorming, to filming, editing, writing captions, and posting. Don't waste time creating content that won't positively impact the bottom line of your business.

The Bestie is your content creation sidekick, whether you have a post ready to go and just want a little feedback or you can't think of any ideas. It can be your starting point or final eyes on your content before you hit "publish", depending on what you need.

Personally, I love coming up with content ideas and starting with a rough draft. Typically, I'll map out the idea for a reel, carousel, or draft an email. Then, I'll add it to the Bestie and ask it to audit for sales psychology or improve it to lead to the desired call-to-action. The Bestie usually gives me a few messaging tweaks or sentences to add that really tie my content together.

2. Mapping out Offers

The Sales and Copy Bestie can act as a strategic business partner when it comes to mapping out your offers. When I've used it in this way, I've started with a general outline of what I'm thinking in terms of deliverables, pricing, and desired impact. I went back and forth with the Bestie for hours to fully map out my marketing audit offer, and it paid off.

The Bestie helped with positioning for the offer (a key detail for making sales!), copy for my services and booking pages, crafting the detailed intake questionnaire, and even developing the workflows and automations needed to make this offer sustainable.

As always, I have the final say and make changes that best suit my brand and clients, but using the Bestie saved probably a full week of work.

3. Spotting Gaps in Your Messaging or Offers

If you don't have the resources to invest in a messaging strategist or business coach, using the Sales and Copy Bestie is the next best thing when it comes to finding gaps.

Feed the Bestie your current offer suite with brief blurbs for each offer, and ask it to audit the offers and messaging. You may find you need to add an additional offer to fill the gaps, or maybe you need to completely change how you position an existing offer. This changed how I position strategy sessions from an advice call to turning overwhelm into a clear, actionable plan.

4. Crafting Custom Packages for Clients

I cannot tell you how many hours I've spent crafting custom packages for clients—sometimes, just for them to say no and not book. It's been a pain point of mine for years, and I'm finally solving it while using the Bestie.

Here's how this works. I've trained the Sales and Copy Bestie to understand past packages of mine including price points and deliverables, so it has a baseline of my typical offers and pricing. Then, I give it my Honeybook AI meeting notes from a potential client discovery call so it has context. Lastly, I ask it to craft custom package options and give it my initial thoughts—usually an outline of price points for the options (or hard budgets), deliverables, and results.

The Bestie takes it from there, and in my experience, I'm HIGHLY impressed with the custom packages it's created. They are spot on in messaging and positioning, and the pricing is aligned with what I usually charge. I always add my own personal touch and change things up as needed, but having custom package options from the Bestie as a starting point solves one of my biggest challenges running a solo business. Better yet, I’ve had a higher success rate of clients booking custom packages using the Bestie!

5. Auditing Your Website Copy

Writing for storytelling? My superpower. Writing for conversions? I get by—but there's always room for improvement. One of the BIGGEST projects I've worked on with the Bestie by my side was completely revamping my messaging, target audience, and updating my website's home, about, and services pages.

I started with keyword research to ensure my website pages would rank on Google for relevant terms. Then, I drafted out my headings and copy for each page. Then, I worked page-by-page with the Sales and Copy Bestie, feeding it my draft and keywords, and we went back and forth until my website copy felt personal, powerful, and effective.

This was a very hefty project, and the responses I've received from my updated website have been overwhelming. I've been told it really showcases my expertise. I've been told my niche is crystal clear. And, I received new client inquiries almost immediately.

Could I have done this all on my own (in a much longer timeframe)? Yes, but I know myself—I would have thrived with the connection and storytelling piece and struggled with the authority and expertise piece. The Bestie only highlighted my strengths and tied everything together so my site connected and converted.

Sales and Copy Bestie Custom GPT vs. Regular ChatGPT

The quality of your AI tool matters. Let's look at specific examples of how the Sales and Copy Bestie Custom GPT compares to regular ChatGPT. I'll give both tools the same input, and share how different the outputs are.

Please note: For each example. I attached my brand knowledge document to the input. It was kept fairly vague, because I want to show the value of the initial outputs—even before taking the time tweaking and going back-and-forth with the Bestie.

Example 1: Coming Up with Content Ideas to Sell an Offer

Input:

Please refer to this brand doc for an overview of my business, ideal client, and offers. Can you come up with Instagram content ideas (rooted in sales psychology) to sell my marketing audit offer?

Sales and Copy Bestie Custom GPT Output:

This is just a snippet:

1. The “Common Enemy” Reel
Psych lever:
Connection + Attention
Hook: “Tired of throwing money at marketing that doesn’t work?”
Concept: Call out the real enemy — “Random acts of marketing.” Contrast that with what happens when strategy drives their marketing (aka what your audit gives them).
CTA: “If this sounds familiar, it’s time for an audit.”

2. Before/After Carousel: “What Happens When You Audit Your Marketing”
Psych lever:
Clarity + Desire
Use contrast bias. Show side-by-side examples of marketing “before audit” (inconsistent, confusing) vs. “after audit” (clear, cohesive).
Frame it visually: Red flags → green check marks.
CTA: “Want this transformation? Request your Marketing Audit.”

3. Loss Aversion Post: “The Cost of Doing Nothing”
Psych lever:
Desire + Ease
Copy: “Here’s what you’re losing by ignoring your marketing…”
List lost leads, wasted ad spend, time, and energy.
Close with relief: “An audit helps you stop guessing and start growing.”

Regular ChatGPT Output:

This is just a snippet:

“The Hidden Cost of DIY Marketing” Carousel

  • Slide 1: “What’s your marketing really costing you?”

  • Slides 2–5: Show examples — missed leads, wasted time, inconsistent branding, confusion for customers.

  • Final slide CTA: “If this hits close to home, a marketing audit can pinpoint what’s actually holding your business back.”

Reel: “3 Red Flags Your Marketing Isn’t Working (Even If You’re Getting Likes)”

  • Hooks: “You might think your marketing is working… but here’s how to tell if it’s not.”

  • Close with: “This is exactly what I uncover during a marketing audit.”

Static post: “Are you unknowingly turning customers away?”

  • Simple before/after example of a website or caption (blur details for privacy).

  • Caption walks through what’s not working + how a small change improved clarity or conversions.

Example 2: Auditing My Instagram Bio

Input:

Please audit my Instagram bio. The goal is to hook people in right away and make them feel understood, while also showcasing my expertise and the transformation I provide clients in my marketing business. Keep the bio under 150 characters:

Note: I've gone back and forth with the Bestie many times to land on my current bio, so there really wasn’t much to improve! If I started from scratch with a bio from 5 years ago, it likely would have had significantly more changes.

Example 3: Rewriting an Email Newsletter, Infusing Sales Psychology Principles

Input:

Here's an email draft. Do you have any recommendations for ways to improve the writing/sales strategies without losing my voice?:

Marketing is not your full-time job, First name / friend.

Yet some days, it might feel like it.

But when you spend all your time updating your website, coming up with content ideas, emailing your list, and scrolling on Instagram, when are you able to actually be the CEO?

Suddenly, you realize you need marketing support—but you don't need another person to manage.

You need a creative partner who can take a holistic approach to your marketing, handle implementing day-to-day, and bring you proven ideas that work.

I started Bud to Bloom because this level of support is rare unless you hire an expensive agency.

When we work together, you don't just get:
✨ a strategist who connects the dots between all your marketing channels
✨ a creative who infuses your uniqueness into your content
✨ a trusted partner who implements while you serve clients

You get all three—wrapped into one.

You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't need to onboard me like you would a full-time employee,

But you CAN cross marketing off your to-do list and trust you're in good hands.

This is just a snippet:

This email draft is already strong—warm, conversational, and positioned from a place of empathy and authority (great “Connection” and “Ease” levers). But we can elevate the Attention and Desire levers with a few tweaks rooted in neuromarketing and buyer psychology principles from your Reveal materials.

Here’s a quick audit through the 5 Sales Levers

🧠 1. Attention → “You got me”
Your opener is relatable but could grab harder.
Right now:
“Marketing is not your full-time job, First name / friend.”
This works for personalization, but the hook could trigger more pattern interruption (Von Restorff Effect). Try reframing with contrast or curiosity:

Option:
"You didn’t start your business to become a full-time marketer. But somehow… here we are.”
This hits their internal frustration and primes empathy.

❤️ 2. Connection → “You get me”
You’re already strong here—the emotional mirroring (“when are you able to actually be the CEO?”) shows authentic empathy.
To deepen this, add a brief sensory detail or shared frustration moment:
“You open your laptop to work on client projects, but somehow end up knee-deep in Canva templates again.”
It paints a mental image—one of the easiest ways to strengthen connection neurologically.

💡 3. Clarity → “I get it”
Your explanation of what you do is clear but slightly abstract. People buy specifics—they need a clear mental picture of the before and after.
Try tightening the line:
“You need a creative partner who gets the whole picture—then handles the details. Someone who plans, creates, and implements while you focus on the parts of business only you can do.”

This swaps “holistic approach” (a vague phrase) for concrete outcomes.

Regular ChatGPT Output:

This is just a snippet:

This email is really strong already, Karley — it has a conversational flow, emotional pull, and feels genuinely supportive (very on-brand for you). You’ve nailed the empathy piece and made the offer feel like a relief rather than a pitch.

Here’s how we can elevate it just a bit further — refining the sales psychology and tightening some rhythm without losing your natural tone.

🔧 Structural & Strategic Tweaks

1. Open with a stronger “mirror moment.”
The first line is great but could be slightly more vivid to immediately make readers nod and feel seen.
Current:
Marketing is not your full-time job, First name / friend.
Yet some days, it might feel like it.

Suggested:
Marketing isn’t supposed to be your full-time job, First name / friend.
Yet somehow, it ends up taking over your week.
(This subtly reframes “it might feel like it” into something more grounded in their lived experience.)

2. Make the pain-to-solution transition more magnetic.
The “when are you able to actually be the CEO?” line is great — you could build on that momentum by creating a stronger contrast between chaos and calm.
Try:
When are you able to actually be the CEO?
That’s the part most business owners never get to — because marketing never stops.
The ideas, the updates, the constant “shoulds.” It’s a lot.

Then segue into your next paragraph:
That’s why I built Bud to Bloom — to give you the kind of creative, strategic support most small business owners don’t realize they can have.
(This makes the reader feel the chaos before offering your calm, supportive solution.)

As you can tell from these examples, the Sales and Copy Bestie is trained in Kaili's sales framework using the 5 sales levers, and the outputs are significantly more useful. From personal experience, I can confirm that once the Bestie learns more and more about your brand and offers, it provides stellar outputs.

I highly recommend the Sales and Copy Bestie to any business owner who wants to save time, make more sales, and sell in an ethical and effective manner. At the time of writing this, I've owned the Bestie for two months and have saved probably weeks of time, AND the Bestie has already paid for itself from new client sales.
